We’ve noticed a change in how patrons use the library, and are aligning our adult and teen collections to make more space for popular items. No changes are currently planned for the Children’s Library.
Manga are moving behind adult graphic novels, into rows 21 and 22. This expansion will give the collection space to include materials for a wider age range, as well as duplicates of hot series to lessen wait times.
Anime is moving from the Teen Space into the DVD section, to the right just past the hold shelves. This will make it easier for A/V aficionados to find.
Teen nonfiction is moving from the area right by Study Room C to the big windows in the Teen Space. The collection will also gain a few extra shelves. This change allows us to keep titles of interest for longer, so it will be easier to go back and find that book you looked at but didn’t have a chance to check out.
Teen graphic novels will move to the east wall as well, between teen nonfiction and the East Desk. This will give our teen fiction collection room to spread out.
Teen new books will also get more space, so we can order more of the hot titles you love.
Have questions about any of these moves? Come talk to us at any of the desks or contact us. We are always interested in hearing your feedback.
