I served on jury at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice, thus was a good citizen to Michigan and the U.S.
Puffin Peter by Petr Horáček — A new book by one of my favorite authors! In this book, a big storm separates Peter Puffin from his friend Paul. He goes hunting for him with some help from a big blue whale. Lovely pictures and a happy ending.
How to be a cat by Nikki McClure — I love the simple black and white pictures in this book. And all the great words describing what cats do. If i wasn't a bear, I'd want to be a cat. They look like they have lots of fun!
Yes, let's by Galen Goodwin Longstreth ; illustrated by Maris Wicks — A great rhyming story chronicling a family's day in the great outdoors.
Take me out to the Yakyu by Aaron Meshon — A little boy goes to two baseball games, one with his dad in America, and one with jiji (that's Japanese for Grandpa) in Japan. He shares the differences and similarities between the two. Play Ball!
Last night for dinner I made a simple recipe for a quick side dish. Angel hair pasta, monterey jack/parmesean cheeses, pepper, butter, sprinkle of nutmeg and a little bit of milk. It was delicious and my husband loved it!!!
Wash-a-bye bear by Thomas Docherty — This is a story about a little girl's teddy bear who must get washed. Apart from the kinda scary part where the teddy bear gets puts in a washing machine (boy I am glad I don't fit in those!) this is a wonderful story about a little girl's love for her bear, and her bear's love for her.
