Summer isn’t just when barbeques, bathing suits and boats come out. Here in the Motor City, it’s when the classic cars come out!
Of course, the biggest event of the season is the Woodward Dream Cruise, but you don’t have to wait until August 16 to see some amazing classic cars. There are plenty of classic car events right here in Canton and nearby communities starting this month. Here is a sampling of what you can find in our area.
Canton Car Cave Cruise Nights
This weekly event happens every Monday from 5:00-9:00 PM in the Canton Car Cave parking lot at 41839 Michigan Ave in Canton. It runs from May 7 through September 24, 2025. The evening features classic cars, hot rods and motorcycles. There is also live music and free hot dogs.
Concerts & Cuisine
For four consecutive weeks at the Village Arts Factory in the heart of Cherry Hill Village, Concerts and Cuisine (formerly known as Concerts & Cars) provides car owners and fans alike with a fun night of classic cars, live music, art, food, mini golf and more. It takes place each Wednesday from July 9-30, 2025, from 6:30-8:30 PM. Bring your classic car or a lawn chair to sit and enjoy the fun.
Cars & Coffee
Cars & Coffee at Ford’s Garage in Novi meets the first Saturday of the month from May to September, except during July. This morning car meet-up invites car lovers and coffee enthusiasts to kick back, enjoy some java and talk about everything automotive. Whether you own a classic car, a custom ride or are just an admirer, you’re welcome to attend.
Old Car Festival
Billed as "America's longest running antique car show," this year's festivities will be held September 6-7, 2025 at Greenfield Village. Enjoy the cars along with music, food, dancing and activities. Check out the information page for ticket prices and details.
