The Canton Public Library is updating our Study Room and Meeting Room policies and procedures to make rooms even more accessible and flexible for all types of patrons.
What's New?
We’re introducing an online room reservation system that allows eligible users to reserve select Study Rooms and our two Meeting Rooms ahead of time—no more guessing if a space will be available when you arrive.
Library Card Required
To reserve a Study Room or Meeting Room, you’ll need an up-to-date Canton Public Library card. Not a cardholder yet? Sign up online or at the library.
Study Room Options
We know everyone uses the library differently, so we’re offering both reservable and first-come, first-served Study Rooms:
- Some rooms will be reservable online in advance, for up to two hours at a time, as many as three times per week.
- Other rooms will remain open for walk-in use, with no reservation required, just like always.
This hybrid approach ensures there’s always a space for spontaneous visits and planned study sessions alike. Our Study Room Guidelines have more information.
Meeting Rooms
Groups looking to host a program, class, or meeting can reserve one of our Meeting Rooms using the new online system. A valid CPL library card is required, and use must fall within our Meeting Room policy. All applications will be reviewed before approval.
Get Ready
Whether you’re studying, working, meeting with a community group, or just looking for a quiet corner to think, our upgraded system will help you find the right space at the right time.
More information will be available soon. To get ready to take advantage of our new reservation system, make sure your library card has not expired, has no blocks on use and that your address and email are up to date. Stop by the Check Out Desk or go online to My Account to view your card status.
