An Insider’s Guide to Copying, Printing and Faxing

Pop quiz!

Two questions:

  1. How many copiers/printers does the library have?
  2. Where are they located?

Answer: If you said two and they’re in our Self Service Center, I have some good news for you. The library has five copiers/printers that are located throughout the building. Want to know where they are and what kind of capabilities they have?

  • The printers in the Self Service Center are two of our newest machines, and they’re the only copiers equipped with a faxing option for the public (which is free). You can scan documents on these machines as well. However, because the machines are visible right when you walk into the library, they are often in demand.
  • If you’re just looking to scan, print or copy, you can head to our other three machines. There’s one near our Web Express computer terminals, one in the Teen Space, and one in the Children's Library. None of these machines are used as much as the ones in the Self Service Center, so at any given time, there’s a good chance that at least one of them is available for use.

Modern day copiers and printers come packed with functions and features— and they can be a little confusing to use. If you need help using one, please ask our staff at any of the Information Desks. They’ll be happy to assist you.
