History

The
Canton history collection is a collaboration of CPL and the
Canton Historical Society. At present, the web collection contains scans from the library's history; but we have thousands of other scanned artifacts that will be added soon. These include photographs, Civil War records, and other documents.
Canton Community Forum is a place where members of the Canton community can discuss anything. You may also be interested in our
Teen Animanga Club Forum.
The Library Network,
Institute of Museum and Library Services,
Library of Michigan Foundation, and
CultureSource have partnered with nearly 400 public libraries statewide to present the Michigan Activity Pass (MAP). Library patrons can use their library card online to print a pass allowing them complimentary or reduced cost access to 60 arts and cultural organizations across the state. Canton Public Library card holders may login to print a pass at the
MAP website.

Turn Michigan into your personal gym by checking out a
MI Big Green Gym pass, good for entrance to hundreds of state parks and community recreation agencies statewide.
MI Big Green Gym passes are available until October 1, and can be checked out to residents for a 7 day period. MPRA member agencies will offer
affordable classes, activities and programs, ranging from yoga and swimming to hiking and paddling.

CPL is excited to offer the
Tickets & More program with The Library Network and the Detroit Zoo. Through the Tickets & More program, you can purchase discounted admission tickets to the Detroit Zoo, and save on discounted memberships and dining. You can even purchase a pre-paid parking voucher. The discounted offers are updated at intervals throughout the year, in an effort to keep the program fresh.
