The Care and Keeping of Dinos by Thorndyke

Hey Kids,

Have you noticed this trend lately where humans are keeping dangerous creatures in their backyard? They keep trying to tell me they are just raising harmless “chickens,” but I know the truth: all birds are secretly dinosaurs! Check out this article from Audubon if you don’t believe me. But I don’t see why you wouldn’t believe me. I’m basically an expert on animals. I am one, after all.

There are so many books exploring how chickens are the T. rex’s closest living relative.

What do you mean, “Yes, but what’s the problem?” You’re not actually thinking of raising these creatures, are you? You are much braver than I am! Make sure to check with your local homeowner’s association first.

If you want to foster baby chicks indoors, try Rent the Chicken in Ann Arbor. If you’re allowed backyard chickens, check out this article from Country Living to get started. It will tell you the best breeds, where to buy them, how to get a chicken coop and what to put in it.

Best of luck with your little dinosaurs!

Bear hugs,

Thorndyke
