CPL’s Roblox Book Club is a unique hybrid experience designed for 8-12-year-olds who like reading and playing Roblox.
You can participate at the library, or from the comfort of your own home—although you’ll have to come in person at some point to pick up your prize! Read on to learn more.
How does it work?
- Log in to Roblox using your personal account, or if you’re at the library, one of our special CPL accounts.
- Search for CPLBLOX, our official Roblox experience.
- CPLBLOX will drop your player avatar into a replica of the Children's Library. Once you’re in, go to the Friends' Activity Room just like if you were attending a book club program in the physical library.
- Going through the portal will bring you to the Book Club Game.
- Use your platforming skills to climb the obstacle course, answering 10 trivia questions about the monthly book along the way. The first book is Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy.
- When you reach the top, you will find the secret password.
- Tell the password to the librarian at the (real) Children’s Desk, and they will give you your prize!
Every month will feature a new book, new trivia and a new prize password.
Does it cost money?
No, just like our regular programs, there is no cost to attend.
What is the prize?
A copy of the next month’s book that you get to keep, while supplies last.
Can I pick up prize books for multiple kids?
We have a limited supply of prize books, so we will be limiting pick-ups to one per person.
Can I still play next month even if I don’t get the book?
Yes, as long as you’ve read the book, you can participate.
