Winter winds are blowing, the sidewalks are icy, and the thought of bundling up just to grab a book might feel less than appealing. Luckily, we have you covered. With Home Delivery, you can enjoy your favorite reads without ever stepping outside. And if you’re already out running errands, Curbside Pickup makes grabbing your materials quick and effortless.

Home Delivery: Books at Your Doorstep

Imagine this: you’re curled up under a blanket, sipping something warm, and the only thing missing is a fresh stack of books. With home delivery, that stack comes directly to you.

Requesting home delivery of materials is easy. All you need is to be a current Canton Township resident and have a valid Canton Public Library card updated with your current address. This would’ve been done when you signed up for your library card, but you can always confirm your information with us by phone at 734-397-0999 or by visiting our Circulation Desk.

Once the items you’ve requested are available, you can request delivery to your home on our Home Delivery Service page. Once you input your information, library staff will package your items to be delivered on the next delivery date.

Deliveries occur twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. You must submit your delivery request by 4:30 PM the day before.

So go ahead, pile on the blankets, pour another cup of cocoa, and let the library bring the stories to you.

Add Curbside Pickup to Your Errand Run

Curbside pickup is another smart way to avoid the cold and requires no forethought. If you’re already heading out for groceries or errands, swing by the library and have your books brought right to your car.

Once materials from your On Hold list become available, park in one of the Curbside Parking spots, then call the number on the Curbside Parking sign. A staff member will arrive shortly after with your requested items, directly to your vehicle.

We provide curbside service every day we are open, from opening until 30 minutes prior to closing.
