Friends of the Library

The Friends are people like you — members of the community who support the library's goals and services. They advocate for the library and raise community awareness. Through their efforts, the Friends bridge the gap between a good library and recognition as a great library.

Wings of Wonder Butterfly Garden

In addition to our continuing Canton Public Library support for materials and the Endowment Fund, the Friends of the Canton Public Library have created a Butterfly Garden behind the library. The intent is not only to provide a peaceful natural setting available for the whole community to enjoy, but also to include an educational component through programming. The project involves the whole community as we solicit native Michigan butterfly friendly plants and support from local gardeners. Please check our Facebook page for announcements of upcoming events and our annual Butterfly Friendly Plants Exchange for Milkweed in June.
