Are you a parent or tween/teen looking for something new to read and you don't have a librarian at your house? Check out StorySnoops. StorySnoops is a website developed by four mothers with a mission to help others find fiction books that will hook kids, ages 9-18, on reading. The site provides children's book reviews from a parent's perspective. Easy-to-use search tools guide users to fiction that reflects varying ages, experiences, and interests of children. Each book entry includes a plot summary and brief recap, along with other pertinent information such as genre, main character's gender, awards bestowed, and more. New reviews are added daily, which parents can follow on Facebook and Twitter.
Technology can be a writer's best friend. More and more authors are establishing their presence beyond their websites on Twitter, Facebook, etc. In a recent article by Rege Behe of the TRIBUNE-REVIEW interviewed Ann Rice, Gregg Hurwitz, Alafair Burke and others about their decision to blog.
