Have you ever read a book, loved it, and can't understand why no one else has read this wonderful author? Here are some of my unknowns, or little knowns, you really should try: Deborah Grabien's JP Kincaid Chronicles, Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza's Brazilian Inspector Espinoza, Margaret Frazer's Joliffe series is a spin-off of the Sister Frevisse stories, and fans of Stieg Larsson's books should try Ake Edwardson's Inspector Erik Winter.

Murder Will Out: Mystery Movie Night

On Tuesday, November 29 TNT introduces Mystery Movie Night with six films based on the works of Scott Turow (11/29), Sandra Brown (11/30), Lisa Gardner (12/6), Richard North Patterson (12/7), April Smith (12/13), and Mary Higgins Clark & Carol Higgins Clark (12/20). Three additional films will be announced in 2012.

Murder Will Out: The Godfather of Goth

John Cusack will portray Edgar Allan Poe, the "godfather of goth" in the upcoming movie The raven. Author Edgar Allan Poe forms a reluctant partnership with a police detective to catch a murderer who kills his victims by following elements of Poe's stories. Alice Eve plays Poe's love interest, Alice, and Luke Evans plays the police detective. The film is directed by James McTeigue. The raven is due in the theaters in March 2012.

Author Talk: Harry Dolan

Local author Harry Dolan will be at Nicola's Books with his second mystery which features his main character David Loogan from his first novel. Dolan will talk about his latest Loogan story Very Bad Men on Monday, July 18th at 7:00PM.
