Join us Saturday, November 10th from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM to learn the basics of how to check out free library eBooks and read them on your Kindle, Nook, iPad or other device. Watch a live demo.

OverDrive Media Console App for newer NOOKs

This new app is for NOOK color, NOOK Tablet, NOOK HD, and NOOK HD+ with Wi-Fi access.  Users can visit the NOOK Apps storefront to install the free OverDrive Media Console app. The app enables users to locate their home library, browse or search for eBooks and MP3 audiobooks, and, after entering a valid library card,  check out and download the title directly on their device. We have detailed instructions available on the Library's Help Desk if you need them. Older NOOKs can continue with the sideloading method to download books.

Geek Out With eBooks

Reading an eBooks is an excellent way to earn your Geek Out Badge.  With hundreds of titles available in the Metro Net Online Lending Library you are sure to find something to download to your Nook, Kindle, iPad or other compatible device.  Once you finish your book, don't forget to log on and claim your badge!

Travel eBooks

Thinking of taking a trip soon? You might be delighted to know that we now have the popular DK Eyewitness Travel Guide and DK Top 10 series in our Gale Virtual Reference Library's Travel Virtual Collection. International in scope, these PDF files can be viewed online and small sections can be downloaded to your eReader or printed out. A good planning guide and travel companion for you!

Canton Seniors Book Group Reading List 2012

The Canton Seniors Book Group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month from 2:00-3:00 PM in Group Study Room A. We meet every month except December. Adult Librarians Elaine Skrzynski and Joyce Simowski alternate leading the discussion. Copies of the discussion book can be picked up at the monthly meeting or after the meeting at the Adult Desk.
