My grandfather, Isa Fay and three other men, John McMullen, Solstas Stsfan & John Paget died as a result of injuries suffered in a train crash involving 2 trains operated by the Detroit, Jackson & Chicago Railway Co. and the Detroit United Railway in Van Buren Township, Wayne Co. MI, sometime between Jan. - Nov. 1908. I am trying to locate information regarding the accident. Can you help me? Thank you, Mary Jean

I did find John Paget\'s date of death in our Ancestry.com database as being the 28th of April 1908 so that would have been the date of the train wreck. John McMullen died the same day, but I was unable to find the other two men listed in any of the Genealogy databases. I searched online and also in our magazine subscription databases for any historical information on the train wreck, to no avail. I also looked at \"Water Under the Bridge: A History of Van Buren Township\" and could not find any mention of that occurrence. I would suggest you contact the Belleville Museum at 405 Main Street, Belleville, MI 48111, ph. 734-697-1944 to see if they can be of any further assistance. Thank you for asking ASKCPL.
