Michigan Notable Books

Each year, the Library of Michigan selects up to 20 notable books written by a Michigan resident or about Michigan or the Great Lakes.

Book Groups

Contemporary Book Group

The Contemporary Book Group meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. This self-directed group is sponsored by the Friends of the Canton Public Library. We read current fiction and non-fiction titles from a variety of authors.

Senior Book Group

The Senior Book Group meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 2:00-3:00 PM.

Eclectic Book Group

The Eclectic Book Group meets the second Thursday of the month from noon-1:00 PM. The December meeting is used to share favorite titles and make suggestions for the coming year.

The Nonfiction Book Group meets the third Saturday of the month, 10:00-11:00 AM. We read a variety of nonfiction titles covering a wide selection of topics.
