Hickory dickory dock by Keith Baker

THE ITSY BITSY SPIDER

We tried several renditions of the Itsy Bitsy Spider - slow, with a deep voice, with a squeaky voice, and fast. Here is an example from jbrary.

We read the pages with rainy day rhymes, since it was such a rainy morning.

HONK HONK WENT OLD MOTHER GOOSE (inspired by jbrary)

Honk honk went old Mother Goose one day

Honk honk went old Mother Goose

Honk honk went old Mother Goose one day

And they all went honk honk honk

     But…

We know Mother Goose goes [clap] la de la de la [wavey arms]

[clap] la de la de la [wavey arms]

[clap] la de la de la [wavey arms]

We know Mother Goose goes [clap] la de la de la [wavey arms]

They don’t go honk honk honk

Twinkle Twinkle went the little star one day

Twinkle Twinkle went the little star

Twinkle Twinkle went the little star one day

And they all went twinkle twinkle twinkle

     But…

We know stars go [clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms]

[clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms]

[clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms]

We know stars go [clap] rub a dub a dub [running arms]

They don’t go twinkle twinkle twinkle
