Did you miss our Monday Balloons Storytime this week? Don't worry, here's what you missed, plus a few more suggestions for a light-hearted storytime you can do at home.
Mr. Fox is going to the moon. Away he goes in his hot air balloon. But wait. Can Elephant come too? Sure! Let's bring along some pizza. What about Giraffe? And Squirrel? Everyone is welcome in Mr. Fox's balloon, but look out--a surprise is in store for everyone too.
Counting Up Fingerplay:
A bunch of balloons in my hand
I tripped, one slipped, and…
I lost the green (red, orange, yellow…) one, it floated away.
How many balloons did I lose today?
Percy the porcupine loves balloons but he must find a way to keep them from popping.
Counting Down Fingerplay:
Five balloons up in the sky (hold five fingers up)
See them flying way up high? (wave them high)
If one of those balloons should happen to POP! (a big clap)
Only four balloons floating up top (three, two, one...).
This week we used "Jump and Fly" for one of our parachute songs. A great song to get you moving and dancing.
