The holidays are just around the corner, and what better way to prepare than with a trip to a craft fair? Metro Detroit has no shortage of them, and you can find everything from new holiday décor to presents for birthdays and holidays.
Kick off the month close to home! Canton hosts its Holiday Artisan Market on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10:00 AM-4:00 AM at the Summit on the Park with over 30 vendors. For more details, be sure to visit the Canton Farmers Market.
Visit the Dearborn Holiday Boutique on November 5, 2022 at Divine Child Elementary School. It runs from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM on the first Saturday of the month and only costs $3 per person to enter. The event will feature fine arts, home décor, and a variety of hobby crafts as well as a raffle.
The following weekend, Saline, Farmington Hills and Plymouth all have their craft fairs. On Saturday, November 12, 2022 you’ll have your choice between the Saline November Craft Show at Saline Middle School and the Farmington Hills Alternative Christmas Fair at Hope Lutheran Church.
The Saline November Craft Show is $5 per person, runs from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM, and boasts a variety of hobby crafts and home décor items as well as a raffle.
The Farmington Hills Alternative Christmas Fair runs from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM and will host a variety of crafters, vendors and charities. Proceeds will go to support local charities.
If you don’t feel like driving very far, Plymouth is having their Holiday Handmade Crafters Market on November 13, 2022 at 1426 S Mill Street. Admission is $1 per person and the event runs from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. There will be crafts, home décor and plenty of food.
Craft fairs start ramping up over the long weekend before Thanksgiving. First up, Royal Oak has its Market Art Fair from November 17-18, 2022 at the local Farmer’s Market. It runs from 11:00 AM-9:00 PM both days and will feature over 60 artists as well as entertainment and food.
Novi’s Winter, Wine, and Whimsy Holiday Market will fill the Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk in the evenings from November 17-19, 2022. It runs from 5:00-9:00 PM Thursday and Friday, and noon-9:00 PM on Saturday. The market will feature local artisan vendors, entertainment and holiday fun.
Wayne’s Outdoor Christmas Market is located in downtown Wayne and will run from November 18-20, 2022 with hobby crafts, home décor, food and holiday fun.
On November 19, 2022 is Plymouth-Canton’s very own Holiday Arts and Crafts Show at Plymouth High School. It runs from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM and costs $5 admission per person. The event will have over 130 crafters and artists around the school and proceeds will go to support PCEP band programs.
If you feel up to visiting a second craft show in the same day, Southgate is also having their Craft and Vendor Show on November 19, 2022 at Davison Middle School. The show runs from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM and will feature a variety of crafters and vendors. Proceeds will go to support the Southgate Anderson Marching Band.
If you haven’t managed to make it to any of the shows thus far or are still looking for something more, on November 20, 2022 is Ann Arbor’s Frosted Flea Vintage Market at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds. It’ll feature a variety of antiques, crafts, and food for everyone to enjoy.
Finally, Black Friday weekend doesn’t have to be just for department stores and online shopping. Novi is having its Black Friday Expo from November 25-27, 2022 at West Oaks Shopping Center where you can shop both the mall and a selection of vendors’ wares. Admission is $5 per person. These pop-ups will be back every weekend starting from Black Friday and ending on Christmas.
