Where are Dora and Diego?

"Where are the Dora books?" "Where are the Diego books?" These are two questions the Children's Librarians often hear. While we have many Dora and Diego books in the Picture Book section, don't forget that there's another place to find them. That place is the Readers section, where you can find books for both Dora and Diego shelved under J READER DOR. Ask a librarian to show you next time you come to the library!

Story Blocks

Story Blocks is a great resource for parents, caregivers and librarians alike. A project of Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy, Story Blocks is filled with short video demonstrations of rhymes, songs and fingerplays for your baby, toddler, or preschooler. You'll pick up some useful early literacy tips, and a little Spanish vocabulary, too, thanks to a selection of bilingual video clips. Explore the videos and learn something new that your little one will love. I've definitely learned a few new tricks for story time!

Holiday Books

Have you ever wished you could browse all the books for a certain holiday at once? Now you can! The Children's Department now has a section just for holiday books. You'll be able to find picture books for Christmas, Valentine's Day, and many more holidays with the greatest of ease. This new section is located across from the Parenting magazines in the Children's Department. Ask a librarian to show you next time you stop in. Happy Holidays!
