Who Are Your Ancestors?

Kris Rzepczynski, a coordinator at the Library of Michigan, will show us the tools and data bases available to Canton Public Library users to find our long, lost relatives.  Find out why you are especially handy in the kitchen, have a burning passion for politics or can create beautiful art pieces from virtually nothing.  Was it because of your great, great grandparent?  Join us on Thursday, June 28 at 7:00 PM and learn how to find your answers.

Sylvan Saturday: Celebrate Summer Learning

Join the folks from Sylvan Learning Center on May 19th from 2:00-3:00 PM for a fun, inspiring, idea packed event to help students come up with activities to maintain their learning skills all summer long. Summer is the perfect time for a different kind of learning. This event will feature lots of resources and "giveaways" to keep tweens and teens motivated and excited about learning even once school is out. Register now!

Local Author Event

Join us on Thursday, May 17 at 7:00 PM as we welcome local authors to share their craft, their insights and their books. We have everything from children's to fitness to romance, real-life adventure, a novel and self-help books to satisfy everyone's interest. Refreshments will be provided as you peruse the individual authors' tables and discuss their books with them. This event is made possible in part from a grant from the Michigan Center for the Book.
