Good Night!
One fluffy quilt on my bed,
Two little pillows on my head,
Three teddy bears to hold tight
Four kisses from my mom for a restful night,
Five hugs from my dad,
And off goes my light,
Good Night!

Oh a green frog sat upon a lily pad

Hands on Shoulders
Hands on shoulders, hands on knees,
Hands behind you if you please.
Touch your shoulders, now your nose,
Now your chin and now your toes.
Hands up high in the air,
Down at your sides and touch your hair.
Hands up high as before,
Now clap your hands--one, two, three, four.

Head, Shoulders, Knees, Toes

Here is the Engine
Here is the engine on the track (hold up thumb)
Here is the coal car, just in back (hold up pointer finger)
Here is the boxcar, to carry freight (hold up middle finger)
Here is the mail car, don't be late! (hold up ring finger)
Way back here at the end of the train (hold up little finger)
Rides the caboose through the sun and the rain.

Hiding Dinosaurs
Dinosaur, Dinosaur,
Where can you be?
Hiding behind me (hands behind back)
Where you cannot see.
Now you see one. (bring out one hand)
It's waiting for you.
Here comes another, (bring out other hand)
And now you see two!

I'm A Big Cicada (Tune: I'm a Little Teapot)
I'm a big cicada with eyes of red,
I fly around and hit you in the head,
I crawl up from the ground and climb a tree,
I make a funny noise that's just for me!

Cute and fat.

When I see a cat come out to play,

I'm a little fishy, watch me swim
Here is my tail, here is my fin,
When I want to have fun with my friends,
I wiggle my tail and dive right in!

I'm a little snowflake , look at me.
No other snowflake is just like me.
I am so unique, as you can see,
And just as special as I can be!

Here's my scarf and here's my hat.
When snow is falling come and play,
build a snowman everyday.

I Love Mommy (Tune: Frere Jacques/Are you sleeping?)
I love Mommy, I love Mommy.

And my mommy loves me,
Yes, my mommy loves me,
Loves me too; loves me too.
(Change Mommy to Daddy, Brother, Sister, Etc.)

Ice Cream Poem
I like ice cream. Yes I do!
One scoop for me?
No! Make it two!
Hmmm two scoops of ice cream,
I want more
How about three?
No, make that four!
1, 2, 3, 4,
Splat! "oh no! It's on the floor!"

Kitten Fingers
Five little kittens, standing in a row.
See them bow to the children so.
They run to the left. They run to the right.
They stand up and str-e-tch in the bright sunlight.
Along comes a dog,
Looking for some fun.
MEOW! See those five kittens run!

Kitty, Kitty
I have a little kitty,
He is as quick as he can be.
He jumps upon my lap,
And purrs a song to me.

Little Birdie
Little birdie in your nest.
Little birdie it's time to rest.
When the sun comes out to play.
Little birdie - fly away!

Little Boy Blue
Little boy blue,
come blow your horn;
The sheep's in the meadow,
the cow's in the corn.
Where's is the boy who looks after the sheep?
He's under the haystack, fast asleep.

Little Donuts (Tune: Ten Little Indians)

Ten donuts in the bakery shop.

Little Leaves (Tune: Ten Little Indians)
One little, two little, three little leaves.

Love Your Pets (Tune: Row, Row, Row Your Boat)
Love, love, love your pets,
Love them every day.
Give them food and water, too,
Then let them run and play.

The Monkey
The monkey claps, claps, claps his hands.
(clap hands)
The monkey claps, claps, claps his hands.

Monkey see, monkey do.
The monkey does the same as you.
(use pointer finger-let child select new action such as "jump", "hop", "tap nose"... and repeat)

My Hands
My hands upon my head I place.
On my shoulders, on my face,
At my waist and by my side,
Then behind me they will hide.
I will raise them way up high.
Let my fingers fly, fly, fly…
Roll them over 1 – 2 – 3
And see how quiet they can be!

Oh, Where Did the Dinosaurs Go? (Tune: Where, oh where, did my little dog go?)
Oh, where, oh where did the dinosaurs go?
Oh, where, oh where can they be?
They were much too big to just disappear.
It sure is puzzling to me!

One Friendly Dinosaur
One friendly dinosaur wanted to play peek-a-boo.
She found another, then there were two.
Two friendly dinosaurs looked behind a tree.
They found another, then there were three.
Three friendly dinosaurs went to find some more.
They found another, and then there were four.
Four friendly dinosaurs in the water did dive.
They found another, and then there were five.
Five friendly dinosaurs played in the sun.
They all ran to hide; now there are none.

One Potato
One potato, two potato, three potato, four!
Well, I made a batch of hot potatoes
Dropped 'em on the floor!!

Because he bit my finger so,

Oranges
Orange is the color of so many things I see.
Would you like to sing a little song with me?
Orange juice and orange cheese,
Orange carrots, if you please.
Orange pumpkins, orange leaves,
Let’s sing a song of orange .

Painting Fun (Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star)
I know the colors for painting fun,
Green like grass and yellow sun,
An Orange pumpkin and white snow,
A red rose and a black crow,
Blue like a mailbox, brown like an ape,
A pink pig and some purple grapes.

Patty Cake
Patty cake patty cake,
Bakers man, bake me some bread as fast as you can.
Roll it pat it mark it with a (first initial of child's name)
And put it in the oven for -----and me!

Says the popcorn in the pan.

You may catch me if you can.

Pretty Balloons (Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star)
Pretty balloons in the air,
Lots of colors we see there.
Red, and yellow, green and blue
Can you see the colors too?

Puppy Dogs
Five little puppy dogs, in a kennel door,
One didn’t like the crowd, then there were four.
Four little puppy dogs running around the tree.
Mother calls one puppy home, Then there were three.
Three little puppy dogs playing with a shoe,
Foxy ran to chase a cat, then there were two.
Two little puppy dogs, having so much fun,
Rover went to find a bone. Then there was one.
One little puppy dog sitting in the sun.
He went to the kennel, then there were none!
