Roll up some fun with kid-friendly Dungeons & Dragons Gaming. This monthly program takes place the fourth Monday of every month. Have fun using your imagination while also working on building problem-solving skills, practicing mathematics and chart-reading, and learning new vocabulary. The next session is October 26, 4:30-5:30 PM. All playing materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own dice. This program is suggested for ages 9-12. Families are welcome. No registration is required.

October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month. As many as 20 % of the student population in the U.S. are dyslexic. Dyslexia is a commonly misunderstood developmental reading disorder because it can be found in bright, highly intelligent, creative and innovative people. The HBO documentary film, The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia, follows four students on their journey as they face the challenges and cope with their diagnosis. Please join us on Wednesday, October 14, at 7:00 PM in the Community Room for a special screening of The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia.

- Children's Library DEMO DAY! on Wednesday, December 30 from 7:00-8:30 PM. Dress for the mess and help us demolishÂ ourÂ oldÂ Children's LibraryÂ space in preparation for a whole new beginning. Featured activities: Pull up a carpet square, graffiti wall, cookie crush corner, bubble blaster dance party and more. Hard hats will be provided.
