More Suggestions for the Urban Fantasy Reader
You're a special kind of reader. You can't get enough of vampires, wizards and things that go bump in the night. However, you like your books set in a city, preferably a big one like Chicago or New York. You also don't want to stop at just one book — more is more! You're an urban fantasy reader and here are some series for you to explore.

An Urban Take on Fantasy Series
Urban fantasy, a sub-genre of fantasy that is set in a city, is alive and well. In urban fantasy, witches, warlocks, vampires and other undead find the city a great place to live (or die). Try these series if you want to add a little "edge" to your fantasy.- Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong
- The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
- The Hollows Series by Kim Harrison
- The Blood Books by Tanya Huff
- The Walker Papers by C.E. Murphy

Contemporary Fantasy
Do you love fantasy books in which a whole different world exists right next to — or within — our own? If you do, you might want to check out the Comtemporary Fantasy Wiki. Don't forget to click on Urban Fantasy in this wiki--it contains another great list of authors. One name I didn't see on the wiki was Neal Shusterman, author of some dark and creepy books including: Everlost and Downsiders. And if you've already read everything and want the newest we've got, get on the hold list for Megan Crewe's Give up the ghost. I've heard some good things about it.
