Canton Leisure Services
The Canton Public Library and Canton Leisure Services have teamed up with ETC Institute to conduct a statistically-valid community survey to assist in planning and prioritizing for both organizations. If you are one of the 3,000 randomly-selected Canton households to receive the survey, please fill it out and return it promptly. The 30-question survey should take about ten minutes to complete. Your responses will help us better understand your needs and prioritize our Strategic Plan efforts for the next several years. Your opinion is very valuable and we greatly appreciate your time.
There are only two Sundays left to visit the Canton Farmer's Market, so be sure to visit it at least once before the season is over. Open from 10:00AM to 2:00PM at the Bartlett-Travis House, the market features a variety of local produce and craft items, demonstrations, local history and often entertainment. This is a must-see event. Before you go, find out more about eating locally and cooking with farmer's market produce. The market won't return until next May, so get your local veggies now!
Staying in Canton during Labor Day weekend? Enjoy a walk along the Lower Rouge River Recreation Trail. The walk is Monday, September 7th from 5-7pm and Trail Bingo will be provided by the Canton Leisure Services Staff. Having just recently taken a bike ride on the trail, I can tell you first hand that it is a beautiful piece of Canton that everyone should go out and enjoy.
