Canton Cup Memorial Day Tournament Celebrates 30 Years

Be a part of history this holiday weekend when one of the biggest tournaments in the country comes to town. This year the 30th Annual Canton Cup will host over 690 teams from Michigan and beyond to compete on soccer fields throughout Canton. Newer soccer titles and instructional videos can be found in the library's collection. Enjoy the games!

Get Your Kicks this Weekend at the 28th Canton Cup

Memorial Day weekend brings the Annual Canton Cup, the largest soccer tournament of it's kind in Michigan, right here to Canton. Over 781 teams from across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ontario will compete on soccer fields throughout the area. Check out the new soccer titles recently added to the library's collection.

World Cup Soccer 2010

Let's get our cleats on and root for Team USA! Right now we are standing strong having tied our game with England over the weekend. Root our boys on as they kick, pass, and score their way to the top. For all the latest FIFA information check out their website www.fifa.com and be sure to click on the page for Team USA. Team USA Heads to FIFA World Cup

The top 32 soccer teams from around the globe compete in the most competitive and most watched sporting event the world has ever known, the FIFA World Cup. South Africa hosts the World Cup and becomes the first African nation to do so. The Cup kicks off on June 11th and continues until July 11th. Team USA takes on Slovenia, the smallest country at the World Cup, on Friday June 18th. Check out some of the new World Cup Soccer materials here at the library.

27th Annual Canton Cup Soccer Tournament

It's Memorial Day weekend which means it's time for the Annual Canton Cup, the largest soccer tournament of it's kind in Michigan.  Over 580 teams from across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois and Ontario compete on soccer fields throughout Canton.  More information can be found on the 2009 Canton Cup website and find the new book Outcasts United: A Refugge Team, an American Town by John St. Warren in our collection.
