Old Car Festival at The Henry Ford: Greenfield Village
Date: September 12-13, 2009America's longest running antique car show fills the grounds of Greenfield Village with the sights, sounds, and smells of hundreds of authentic vehicles from the 1890s through 1932. Enjoy a self-guided tour, attend a presentation, talk to proud car owners, or just sit back and watch the parade of cars go by. Old Car Festival is free to members and free with Greenfield Village admission.
Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show
Date: Sunday, June 7, 2009Location: Riverside Park, Ypsilanti
The 13th annual Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show displays orphan vehicles that are makes, not models, of cars, trucks, motorcycles that are no longer manufactured. A large percentage have been out of production for over fifty years. The show features a "pass-in-review" by make or group, with several automotive historians describing the vehicles as they pass by. A good chance to enjoy a bit of the outdoors while viewing the vintage vehicles!
