Happy Birthday Pigeon Party!

pigeon puppyI never get to drive the bus. I always want to stay up late and have a cookie. Who am I? The Pigeon of course! If you love me and my books by Mo Willems, come to my Happy Birthday Pigeon Party. The party goes from 2:00 to 2:45 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2013. You can earn one hour of your community service time and also have fun helping out in the Children's Department. Our next date will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 7:00-8:00 PM. We will meet in the Children's Department but we will also be going outdoors.  Please be prompt.

Family Fun Night

Have you found  yourself following rainbows to find pots of gold? Do you have a four-leaf clover tucked in your pocket? Come to our March Family Fun Night, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 7:00-8:00 PM. We'll have a green snack, do some fun St. Patty's Day activities, and if luck travels with us--a surprise! Book and Toy Collection for Children's Hospital

The Wayne State University School of Library and Information Science Alumni are partnering with Hip Hop Knit Shop and Children's Hospital of Michigan to bring sick kids books, toys and stories and both the Canton and Plymouth Libraries are drop-off points. Starting November 1 through December 12, we will be collecting books and toys, telling stories, navigating art carts and knitting blankets for the kids at Children's Hospital. Join us as we help to make kids feel better this holiday season!

World Series 2012

Major League Baseball is jetting toward the World Series faster than vendors can toss hot dogs to the hungry crowd. This year the World Series begins on October 24, 2012, so only a little over a month away. Will the Detroit Tigers make it into the playoffs? Only time will tell.
