Let's Go Fly a Kite
April is National Kite Month and we want to share this spring fun with you. At this program on Tuesday, April 12 at 7 p.m., you will be able to make a simple craft to take home and enjoy on those windy spring days. Families with children ages 4-9 can attend this program funded by the Target Store Early Childhood Reading Grant and the Friends of the Canton Public Library. Program includes stories, games and snacks. Participants receive a free book. Register today for this fun, family program.Labor Day Walk
Staying in Canton during Labor Day weekend? Enjoy a walk along the Lower Rouge River Recreation Trail. The walk is Monday, September 7th from 5-7pm and Trail Bingo will be provided by the Canton Leisure Services Staff. Having just recently taken a bike ride on the trail, I can tell you first hand that it is a beautiful piece of Canton that everyone should go out and enjoy.Spring, where did you go?
I don't know about you, but with all the snow that fell today, it sure doesn't feel like spring to me. Would you rather be thinking about warm weather and playing outside? If so, Sunny Days and Starry Nights will help. Flip through this book and find lots of ideas for fun stuff you can do outside. Plan some outdoor activites for yourself, and before you know it, it will actually be nice enough outside to do them!
