Health screening, adult day-care, vision services, legal assistance (legal hotline) hearing impaired services, home meals (delivered), help seniors over 55 find employment, help seniors stay in their own home by providing personal care and chore services, also offers Michigan Emergency Pharmaceutical Program. Persons age 60 or over who reside in Southern and Western Wayne County are eligible for most services.

The Canton Human Services Center Community Support Program is a network of non-profit agencies brought together to assist Canton individuals and families with a variety of concerns. Help is available in several areas, including senior care, domestic violence, substance abuse, dispute settlement, emergency food and shelter, and family counseling.

The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Clothing Bank provides free clothing to families in need. Principals and Counselors can refer students and their families to the Clothing Bank by simply calling us. Families recieve clothing by appointment only.

A 12 step program which does not provide crisis intervention, counseling or referrals to hospitals, but does provide referrals to other 12 step programs.

Our Mission is not to just provide food to needy families, but to help them to be able to provide food for themselves. We do this through our food pantry, job bank, ODM Graduate School, and one on one counseling.  Help provided in 2008:

  • Cost Per Pound = 2.64 cents
  • Cost Per Person = 68 cents
  • Total Meal Equivalent = 431,076

Accepts donations of gently used prom and bridesmaid dresses as well as shoes and accessories. Donations can be mailed to the address listed or held until spring when 3-4 drop off locations will be made available. Volunteer opportunites are available for dress events ans sorting. Help organizing an individual dress drive is also available.
