The classified membership directory is mailed to residences and businesses in Canton. Provide members with information on legislative changes which would affect specific businesses. Reading/English as a second language tutoring. Training is provided to certify volunteers. Offers a public awareness program giving an overview of the council, and the screening process or how a student is set up with their tutor. This program consists of three segments featuring the director , a tutor, and a student with each one speaking and answering questions. Web site features adult literacy information.

We work with First Step and the Women's Abuse Center. We offer two $500 scholarships every year thru the Canton Community Foundation. We ring the bell for the Salvation Army each holiday season and we teach middle school students in the PCCS system about career choices and money management.
