West Bloomfield Township, MI 48322). The Lincoln Lawyer, a Mickey Haller book, was chosen as Metro Net Library Consortium's 2011 Everyone's Reading selection.

Everyone's Reading author, Michael Connelly will talk about his life and experience writing The Lincoln Lawyer, part of the Mickey Haller series. Mr. Connelly will speak on Thursday, April 14 at 2:00PM at The Community House in Birmingham and at 7:30PM at The Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield. Tickets are free and available to Canton Public Library cardholders at the library's Adult Reference Desk.Copies of The Lincoln Lawyer will be available for purchase and signing, courtesy of the Book Beat bookstore.

Lincoln in the Courtroom with Judge Ron Lowe
Join us as Judge Ron Lowe, 35th district court judge in Plymouth, shares his characterization of Abraham Lincoln as a courtroom lawyer. We can compare Lincoln's courtroom to our modern day courtrooms as portrayed in Scott Turow's "Presumed Innocent", the Everyone's Reading selection and original courtroom thriller. Monday, February 22nd at 7:00 pm in the library community room. Join the community dialogue by joining in the community read of "Presumed Innocent."
Everyone's Reading 2010
Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow is the 2010 Everyone's Reading selection. This novel defined the legal thriller genre and has an infamous surprise ending that most of us don't see coming. Everyone's Reading promotes community dialogue through the shared experience of reading the same book. Pick up a copy of Presumed Innocent at the Canton Public Library and join the discussion.Author Scott Turow will make a special appearance at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill this evening at 7 PM. A limited number of unclaimed tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, in the theatre lobby beginning at 6 PM.
