Here's your chance to log-in on William Shatner because the William Shatner Blogathon takes off on July 5.

The rules are simple: Blog about William Shatner. Doesn't matter what you blog about; anything that bears the golden touch of the Shatman is fair game.

Travel Through Film

Sometimes the best vacations are on your own couch. Here are some great journeys in movies to get the feeling of an adventure while in the comfort of your own home.

Wild Hogs — Like any good travel movie, this film shows that it's the journey, not the destination.

Fear and loathing in Las Vegas — When packing for a trip, some people have different priorities than others. An ether frolic of a movie, from the mind of Hunter S. Thompson.

Not-Boring Documentaries

Anything can be boring if you let it, but these documentaries may be a little less likely to put you to sleep.

Spellbound

The elegant universe

"No one seated after the film begins."

Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho premiered in theaters on June 16, 1960, fifty years ago. I still remember sitting slouched down in my seat, ready to cover my eyes. You just knew as Janet Leigh pulled into the Bates Motel something wicked was coming her way. They don't call Alfred Hitchcock the Master of Suspense for nothing! He created terror in your heart, kept you at the edge of your seat, waiting, waiting...then sent you reeling back because you didn't see that coming!

Ramona on the big screen

One of my favorite childrens' series are the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary. My son enjoys them as well. Now you can see Ramona on the big screen. Ramona and Beezus will be in theaters on July 23rd. Check out the Ramona series, as well as Beverly Cleary's other books such as the Henry Huggins series, Mitch and Amy and The Mouse and the Motorcycle.

Movies About Water

This is an example of the plentiful recommendations we have in store for Summer Reading, which starts Monday, June 21st.

Summer Reading should be fun, right? What could be more fun than a delightfully romantic film?

I know where I'm going — simply one of the best romantic films ever. Shot in the gorgeous western islands of Scotland, the ocean is practically one of the characters in this movie.

Fool's gold — Lost treaure? Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson? Sign me up.
