When the snow is falling on a weekend morning, I just want to watch it through the window while relaxing with another cup of coffee, and another, and another. The next step in this scenario is some delicious food to soak up the caffeine. What could be better than a home-cooked breakfast or luxurious brunch?

The Steamy Kitchen
Once again, I am eagerly anticipating a cookbook. Jaden Hair's The steamy kitchen cookbook : 101 Asian recipes simple enough for tonight's dinner promises quick recipes accompanied by colorful illustrations. Perfect for armchair cookery, even if I never make it to the kitchen. While I'm old-fashioned enough to want the book, I can enjoy popping on to her blog in the meantime.New Grilling Cookbooks
Food Parisian Style
Clotilde Dusoulier writes one of the most charming food blogs around. Chocolate & Zucchini is a sprightly english language blog about French (mostly) food. She brings the same flair to Chocolate & Zucchini the cookbook, and Clotilde's edible adventures in Paris, a guide to groceries and restaurants in Paris.Kneadlessly Simple
Fresh, delicious, homemade bread that is easy to make. Sounds too good to be true, but that's the claim for Kneadlessly Simple, a book on order at CPL. I'm eagerly awaiting my chance at the copy, and as soon as I've tried out a recipe or two, I'll report back and let you know if the recipes really work as promised.
Award Winning Cookbooks!
Every year the International Association of Culinary Professionals announces their picks for the best cookbooks of the year. The Art & Soul of Baking is just one of the award winners owned by CPL.My Favorite Veggie Cookbook
Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone is the first book I would recommend to anyone maintaining, or even interested in, vegetarianism. Deborah Madison includes 1,400 recipes, making it the kind of all-encompassing book which becomes an immediate kitchen staple. At least it is in my kitchen--I've never had a failed recipe from this book.
