Kids and Tweens in grades K-6, improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a dog. Sign up begins at 6:25 PM and is on a first come, first serve basis. Sessions are 10 minutes long.

ABC Activity Time

ABC Activity Time is an informal session where parents, caregivers, children and babies meet together in a relaxed environment. This drop-in playtime includes sensory activities, puzzles, and matching games for children ages birth to 5, with caregiver. No registration required. Program takes place in the Community Room. Program Dates and Times (January 16-February 17):
  • Mondays-Saturdays*, 10:30-11:00 AM
  • Mondays, 1:30-2:00 PM
  • Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:30-8:00 PM
*Saturday sessions are in the Purple Room.

Kiwanis Storytime

On Thursday, November 10 from 7:00-7:45 PM, members of the Kiwanis Club of Canton will read stories and offer other fun activities. All ages welcome.

Marshmallow Madness

Kids, Tweens, ages 7-11, bring your creativity, clever fingers and sense of fun to this program. Explore the many marvels and makings of marshmallows, play a game and enjoy a mallowy snack.

Dear Dumb, Dork and Wimpy Diaries

Kids, Tweens, ages 7-11, are you fans of the Dork Diaries, Dear Dumb Diary, or Diary of a Wimpy Kid books? Get together with other fans and share your opinions about your favorite diary series. You will also have a chance to get a start on your own personal diary.

Potato Play

Children, ages 5-9, with caregivers, can make an original Potato Head person with a real potato, just like in the old days. Learn some interesting facts about the Potato Heads, play a game, enjoy a healthy snack and have fun.

Dear Dumb, Dork & Wimpy Diaries!

Get together with other Tweens to talk about your favorite diary series and share some of the funniest diary entries. Pick up some tips on journal/diary writing and design an awesome cover for your very own diary notebook. Snacks and a notebook will be provided for you by our super CPL.

Storytime Registration

Storytimes are starting the week of January 11! Online registration for everyone begins December 28, at 9:00AM. All children must have their own library card to register. We have storytimes for various ages: 4 months - not yet walking, Walking - not yet 2 years old, 2 - not yet 4 year olds and 4 - 5 year olds.

The Joel Tacey Show
