In the mid-nineteenth century, Michigan citizens rose up to protest the moral offense of slavery. Among other campaigns, the Underground Railroad was established as a network of escape from slavery. Local author Carol Mull shares first-person accounts with an historical overview as we continue our celebration of Black History Month.
