Family Storytimes

Family Storytimes begin the week of November 10. These storytimes are designed for children ages 5 and under with a caregiver, and do not require registration. Please see following list for storytime locations.

Drop-in Family Storytimes, November 10-December 13:
  • Mondays 10:00-10:30 AM (Community Room)
  • Tuesdays 7:00-7:30 PM (Community Room)
  • Wednesdays 10:00-10:30 AM (Community Room)
  • Thursdays 10:00-10:30 AM (Community Room)
  • Thursdays 7:00-7:30 PM (Purple Room)
  • Saturdays 10:00-10:30 AM (Purple Room)

NOTE: There will be no Family Storytime on Thursday, November 27 or Friday, November 28. The library will be closed for Thanksgiving.
Also the Family Storytime on 11/20 at 7:00 PM will be held in the Community Room.

Celebrate Someone Special on Grandparents Day

Celebrate National Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 7. Come by the Purple Room between 1:00 and 5:00 PM to make a simple craft to give someone special, or bring your grandparent with you and snap a photo together in front of a Happy Grandparents Day backdrop.

Dance Your Fanny Off

Families with young children can join us for a freestyle dance party for our littlest patrons. Everyone gets movin' and groovin' to some great dance tunes.

This program is for new walkers up to 5 years old with their caregivers.

Celebrate Seuss! March is Reading Month

"You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child" (Dr. Seuss).

Join us for a belated celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday as Reading Month comes to a close. This time-honored storyteller would have been 110 years old this year! Children in grades K-2, with a caregiver, are welcome to enjoy stories, crafts, and games. Come prepared to sing an enthusiastic rendition of Happy Birthday.

Eating Together

Who has time for family dinners anymore? We all do, according to author Miriam Weinstein in The Surprising Power of Family Meals. The benefits of eating a meal together are astounding, considering you don't have to sign-up, register, or pay for them outside of your grocery budget. Family meals are available, modest and valuable to your family. At a meal children can learn manners, family values, and good conversation. It's a great time for families to slow down and re-group.

Fun in the Garden Storytime

Children, ages 5 and under, and caregivers, join us Monday, June 27 at 10:00AM for a family storytime all about gardens. We will share stories of vegetables and flowers outside by the library garden (weather permitting). We will also make a beautiful craft and enjoy a special treat. Registration begins Monday, June 13.
