2010 Winter Olympics Come to an End
After seventeen days of incredible and exciting winter events the 2010 Winter Olympics will come to an official end in Vancouver's BC Place Stadium on Sunday, February 28th. As with the Opening Ceremony, everything is hush-hush about the Closing Ceremony and who will perform. One thing is for sure, Nordic combined gold medalist, Billy Demong, will carry the U.S. Flag. 30th. Michigan Senior Olympics July 5 - 12
The 30th Michigan Senior Olympics Summer Games will be held July 5 through July 12 at Oakland University and other sites in Oakland and Washtenaw counties. A complete schedule is available on their website. Hayes Jones, 1964 Gold Medalist is this year's chairperson. Mr. Jones will host the 30th. Anniversary Celebration of Athletes featuring guest speaker, Bill Laimbeer,four time All Star, twice an integral part the Detroit Piston team that won the NBA Championship and head coach of the WBA's Detroit Shocks.
