What Should I Read?
In what order should you read a series? Read everything written by Sue Grafton or Malcolm Gladwell and would like to try a similar author? Books & Authors, available in Canton Public Library's databases, allows you to search by title and/or author, subject, keyword, time period, geographic location, or character. Follow the series links for additional titles, or take advantage of the Expert Picks & Librarian's Favorites for recommendations based on some of your favorite titles or topics.

You Can be a Story Snoop
Are you a parent or tween/teen looking for something new to read and you don't have a librarian at your house? Check out StorySnoops. StorySnoops is a website developed by four mothers with a mission to help others find fiction books that will hook kids, ages 9-18, on reading. The site provides children's book reviews from a parent's perspective. Easy-to-use search tools guide users to fiction that reflects varying ages, experiences, and interests of children. Each book entry includes a plot summary and brief recap, along with other pertinent information such as genre, main character's gender, awards bestowed, and more. New reviews are added daily, which parents can follow on Facebook and Twitter. To Be Read
I recently 'stumbled' upon Goodreads and added it to my list of websites for TBR [To Be Read] suggestions. Of course, that's the whole idea of this blog, so when a request for historical mysteries writers came up, these authors immediately came to mind: Alys Clare, Peter Tremayne, Margaret Frazer, Ariana Franklin, and Alan Gordon.

Murder Will Out: 100 Overlooked, Forgotten, or Underappreciated Mysteries
Question: What one crime, mystery, or thriller novel do you think has been most unjustly overlooked, criminally forgotten, or underappreciated over the years? In honor of The Rap Sheet’s first birthday, they invited more than 100 crime writers, book critics, and bloggers from all over the English-speaking world to choose crime/mystery/thriller novels that they thought had been 'most unjustly overlooked, criminally forgotten, or underappreciated over the years.' Any book you would like to add to this list?
