Happy Belated Birthday, Neil Gaiman!
Well, we've missed the actual day (November 10) of Neil Gaiman's birthday, but it's never too late to celebrate a wonderful author! He's gotten a lot of attention this year between winning the Newbery Award for The Graveyard Book, and the release of the film version of Coraline. If those piqued your interest, you might enjoy other books by Neil Gaiman. You'll find them all over the library, for Children, Teens and Adults.
Celebrate Julie Andrews' Birthday!
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Take some time this week to celebrate Julie Andrews' birthday (October 1). If you haven't read one of her books before, she has written several under the name Julie Edwards. It's also the perfect week to check out Mary Poppins, or any of Julie Andrews' other movies.
