How to download library eBooks on your Kindle

The Canton Public Library offers current bestsellers as well as older fiction and non-fiction titles in the Kindle format.  Join us to find out how to borrow these free eBooks from the library and read them on your Kindle, or Kindle apps.  Remember to bring your Amazon account information (account email and password) if you wish to try to download a title during or after class.

Tuesday, January 8, 7:00-8:30 PM. Learn how to check out free library eBooks and read them on your Kindle, Nook or other device. Watch a live demo and try out a few different eReaders. Registration required.

Wednesday, January 16, 10:00-11:30 AM. Kindle users, learn how to get the most out of your device, download free library books and more. Bring your Amazon account info. Registration required.

New Session Added! : How to Choose the Right eReader

We Love eReadersDue to the popularity of our Thursday evening session, we have added another opportunity to attend this program:

Ready to make the leap into the world of eBooks, but not sure how to choose the right one for you? Join us on Saturday, December 8th from 4:00-5:00 PM in the Community Room to learn more about the current world of eBooks and eReaders, what features are common in today's eReader market, and the difference between popular models and brands. We'll also talk a bit about how the Library can help you make the most of your eReader.

OverDrive Media Console App for newer NOOKs

This new app is for NOOK color, NOOK Tablet, NOOK HD, and NOOK HD+ with Wi-Fi access.  Users can visit the NOOK Apps storefront to install the free OverDrive Media Console app. The app enables users to locate their home library, browse or search for eBooks and MP3 audiobooks, and, after entering a valid library card,  check out and download the title directly on their device. We have detailed instructions available on the Library's Help Desk if you need them. Older NOOKs can continue with the sideloading method to download books.

eReader Users Group

Join library staff and other eReader users as we share eBook tips and tricks in an informal environment. The group will meet Monday, April 30th, 7:00-8:00 PM in the Purple Room.
