You can either download or stream the recording onto your device, and there are about 9,800 titles for you to choose for yourself and your children. Open a hoopla account with your CPL card to start. OverDrive Kids Reading Room

The new OverDrive Kids Reading Room opens this week, just in time for Connect Your Summer. The Kids Reading Room makes it easier for kids to find and download eBooks and audiobooks just for them! You can search by book cover, reading or interest level or subject. Many of your favorite books that are checked out in the library are available as an eBook or audiobook. Then download and go! The Canton Seniors Book Discussion Group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in Group Study Room A from 2:00-3:00PM.   In December we meet to share favorite titles and make suggestions for the coming year. No registration is required.

Canton Seniors Book Discussion: June 26, 2014

Canton Seniors Book Group will meet on Thursday, June 26 at 2:00-3:00pm in Canton Public Library's Group Study Room A. We will be discussing Muriel Barbery's THE ELEGANCE OF THE HEDGEHOG. Request a copy at the Information Services Desk.

Savvy Seniors: April 2014

You have an e-reader, now how to use it?  Canton Public Library offers several resources for e-readers: Overdrive, Hoopla, and Zinio.  Bring your registered eBook reader, current Canton Library card and join us on Friday, April 11 from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM to learn the basics of how to check-out free library eBooks and read them on an iPad, Kindle, Nook or other device.   Registration required.

Blackberry and OverDrive Media Console App

Effective April 10, 2014, the OverDrive Media Console (OMC) mobile app for BlackBerry will no longer be available to download on BlackBerry, BlackBerry 10, and Playbook devices. However, BlackBerry users with the app installed prior to April 10 will be able to continue downloading eBooks and audiobooks via OMC. OverDrive has decided to discontinue further support of this particular app due to its lack of usage.

eReader Users Group Meeting

Join library staff and other eReader users as we share eBook tips and tricks in an informal environment. Group will meet on Monday, March 17 at 7:00 PM in Group Study Room A. No registration required.

Join us on Wednesday, March 12, from 10:00-11:30 AM to learn how to check out free library eBooks and read them on an iPad, Kindle, Nook or other device. Familiarity with your own device is paramount to the success of the class. Please make sure your device is registered, and that your Canton Library card is valid.
