First Book of the Year
What's the first book you will read this year? Have you made any reading resolutions for 2012? Last year I promised myself I would catch up on all my favorite authors, I think I read about 60% of my authors' list. This year I've promised myself to use all the reading diaries I've received over the past several years. I think this will be an easier resolution to keep.

In Memoriam: Anne McCaffrey (1926-2011)
Anne Inez McCaffrey (1 April 1926-21 November 2011) award-winning author of the "Dragonriders of Pern" series, has died of a stroke at her Ireland home. She was 85 years old. Ms. McCaffrey, the first woman to receive a Hugo Award for fiction and the Nebula Award, was named 22nd Grand Master of the Science Fiction Writers of America in 2005 and inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 2006. She was the first science fiction writer to make the New York Times Bestsellers List.

The app supports landscape and portrait orientation. A new calendar icon displays the number of days left until the title expires.
