Canton native Allison Schmitt will compete in four swimming events at the Summer Olympics in London. Considered one of the best middle distance swimmers in the country, Schmitt is a member of Team USA for the second time. She won a bronze in the 800m freestyle relay in Beijing in 2008. Allison will begin competiton on Saturday July 28th and continue everyday until Wednesday if she makes the finals in each of her events; 200m and 400m freestyle and the 400m and 800m freestyle relays.
