You can still renew any materials that are overdue so that you can keep them longer, the overdue fine will be added to your record. If another patron has placed a hold on the book, the renewal will be denied, and you’ll need to get it back to us as soon as possible. You are allowed up to four renewals on most of our materials. For complete information, please see the borrowing schedule on our website.

I returned the DVD (Dinosaur train. Eggstravaganza [videodisc] / PBS Kids) today, but I don't know why it is still in my daughter's account. I dont know how to prove that I returned it. What can I do now?

Sorry for the inconvenience; sometimes an item isn't read correctly when dropped in the slot and so it gets checked in manually by one of our staff--in your case, it was checked in manually this morning and is now off your record.

I just signed up as a new account. I want to renew a book and it keeps telling me that my info doesn't match? I have a Canton card and go to the Plymouth Library at times. Does that matter?

Dear MK Green,
Thanks for writing to us. Was your card issued at the Plymouth library? Although the Canton Public Library and the Plymouth District Library share collections, we do not have a shared computer system. If your card was issued in Plymouth, all of your information is in their system only. To open an account here at CPL, you must come into the library with your card, photo ID, and verification of your current address. We’ll get you entered here and then you’ll have full access to our data bases and be able to place holds online.
