I put 5 movies in the outside return box this morning, but I just checked my record and see only 3 got checked in. What happened?
Thanks for writing to us. When returning items, placing them one at a time into the return slots is the best way to ensure that they’ll be properly removed from your record. Our automated check in system works best when its computer can read the information embedded in the RFID tag affixed to each individual item. If you slip though and put in more than one item at a time, don’t worry--any materials, placed in either of the return slots, that don’t properly check in, fall into an “exceptions bin”. The bin is emptied several times a day and each item is personally handled by our staff, who examine its condition and then manually check it in. If you return something that doesn’t immediately come off your record, wait a couple of hours, then check again. Only the items you currently have checked out should be listed on your account.
My wife is certain she returned the DVD (Designing Women - Season 1 - Discs 3 and 4), but it still shows as checked out. What can we do to resolve this?
