I just borrowed the ipad kit yesterday from the library and was wondering if there is a way to access the internet browser. I cannot find the safari browser on it, has this been disabled?
Yes, the I-pads are internet disabled intentionally and they are intended for app* use only. Thank you for asking ASKCPL.

Thank you for your reply, it would be nice in the future to install iBooks and read on it, or even if it came with a few preloaded books
A slight correction. Our iPads are intended for 'app' use only (currently), not e-reader use. I apologize for the confusion. I just wanted to add that while there is not (currently) a web browser on the iPads for security reasons, if this is something you'd like to see available in the future, let us know on the included survey! (Or, if you would like to see iBooks available; currently we have dedicated e-readers, so we are testing out other uses for the iPad). This is just the type of feedback we want as we try out this new service.
