"1 hold" means one person is ahead of you on the waiting list. If you are "1 of 1 holds" it means you are the next person to get the item after it is checked out by the person ahead of you. They would get their loan period time with it plus 5 days to be on the hold shelf (if the item is on the hold shelf waiting for them to check it out.) You would be the next person to get the item when it is checked in by the person who has previously checked it out if you are "1 of 1 hold". It does not mean it is ready for you yet. "Ready for Pickup" means it is ready for you on the hold shelf. "In transit" means it has been taken off cataloging status and has been moved to the sorting area for check-in. It should be available in the next day or so to the person who is first on the hold list. I hope this answers your questions. Have a nice day and thank you for asking ASKCPL.

Thanks for your question! When you find the item you want in the library catalog, you should see a "Request" button. Click it, and follow the instructions to enter your name and library barcode number (the long number on the back of your card that starts 25149...). When the item is ready for you to pick up at the library, you'll receive a notice at the email address we have on file for you, and it will be held for your for four days on the Hold Shelf next to the Checkout Desk.
