New Library card.

I lost my library card and got a new one. Now I can not get into my old
account or the new account that I am trying to install. I am trying to
delete the old one and new one to start over and can not find a place to
delete both accounts. Could you please help me.

Thank you for contacting us regarding your online account.

There are two options for logging in to the CPL website. The first is My Account, which lets you create one or more accounts based on a username and password. These accounts let you save your name and barcode into a button for one-click access to the second option…

Patron Record is the section that lets you renew materials, place holds, and view your reading history. This form asks only for your name and library card barcode, which you'll have to enter every time you use that form.

If you wish to use the one-click feature from the first option, you can create a new username and abandon the old one without hurting anything. You can also edit your previous username account to work with your new library card number.

To accomplish this, log in with your username and password (if you cannot access it for any reason, you may be able to recover your password via email). You should then see a page with your username in big letters at the top. Just below that is a row of tabs. Click the 'edit' tab to modify the fields associated with your username, including your name and barcode for one-click patron record access purposes. Once you save this form by hitting the save button at the bottom of the page, the patron record button should resume working correctly.

Information on eligibility for and obtaining a Canton Public Library card is located on our Borrowing page. Once you have your CPL card, you may enter the barcode in your "My Account" profile and access our research databases, digital collections, and physical collections.

What is the barcode? Is it on my card? Tried using the number at the Detroit Public Library website and was unable to access the databases there even tho. it was stated that someone holding a library card at a MI library could access them. Can you give me an answer to this? Thanks.

Your library barcode number is located beneath the printed barcode on the back of your card. According to their web site, DPL is a stand alone library and does not share their collection or data bases with any other libraries in Wayne County.

I am having trouble logging in to the Metro Online Lending Library. The error I receive says my library card is not a valid canton card. What is my current card number?
