When you get a message telling you that you are 1 of 1 on an item you’ve asked us to hold for you, it means that you are the only person with a hold on that book, and next in line to get it. If the message said 1 of 2, it would mean that there are two people on the wait list; you are the first, and there’s someone waiting for it after you have your turn. The message that an item is “in transit” means that the book is in the library, but has not yet been processed, and so isn’t ready to be placed on the hold shelf. When an item is on the hold shelf for you, the message in your library account will be “ready for pick up”. Thanks for the great question!
