Unable to read everything on the right frame of this website

The new revised canton library website makes it difficult to read the entire contents of the right frame since the contents scrolls off the screen and no toolbars are provided for us to scroll to view the entire contents.

Thank you for contacting us regarding the website. In order to better diagnose the issue, could you please provide us with the following information?:

  • Your computer's operating system and version
  • The browser you are using and its version
  • Your screen resolution

If you do not know these details, visit Support Details for a close approximation.

This information will help us set up a test situation similar to your own in order to diagnose why content and/or scrollbars are not appearing as intended.

Thanks again.

Thank you for getting back to us!

I have tested using similar settings to yours and got this result:

Not exactly how the site is intended to display!

The CPL website has progressively dropped support for IE6 as its browser share has declined. When the current site layout launched on February 2, 2009, that month 16.5% of visitors used IE6. In April 2010, 4.3% of visitors used it. As we release new features and otherwise improve the site, legacy support (ie. ie6) may become sub-optimal. This is in contrast to sites like Gmail, Youtube, 37signals products, Google Apps, and many other which have completely dropped IE6 support - some nearly 2 years ago.

Given IE6's lack of support for modern web standards and the numerous unpatched security holes, I recommend you upgrade your browser either to Internet Explorer 8, or to a different free browser:

Once again, thank you for writing us.
